Versace family unhappy with American Crime Story's story
Versace, Versace, Versace, Versace... Versace? Looks like the actual Versace family are not fans of FX's take on their story. They claim the network is "not authorized" and that the new anthology series American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace is "a work of fiction."
The series is based of Maureen Orth's book Vulgar Flavors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianna Versace and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U.S. History, which the Versace family says was also unauthorized. No word yet on whether the family will pursue legal options, but if this thing is as much of a success as the last American Crime Story, you can bet on it.
