Editor-in-chief of IGN fired over alleged sexual misconduct
Looks like 2018 will continue last year's trend of outing creepy men in power. Steve Butts, EIC of IGN (one of the biggest and storied video game and entertainment websites), is out after being accused of harassment.
Following the accusation, Butts was investigated by his company. The site decided to part ways with him after the investigation came to a close. Jason Schreier and Cecilia D'Anastasio of Kotaku reported that Butts had been working from home over the last few months, leaving the staff to wonder what could happened.
Seeing the editor-in-chief of a major website fired for this kind of misconduct will hopefully open the eyes of many lower of the totem pole who've acted irresponsibly.
